The Excellence Centre is launching legal services specifically tailored to meet the needs of people that identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. In the past, many people have been discriminated because of their sexual orientation or gender identity and this resulted in them not being able to access the services they needed.Although new legislation has been introduced to offer protection, it is sometimes still difficult for LGBT to be open and discuss their needs with organisations and companies. Therefore, the Excellence Centre has been working to develop products and services for LGBT that can be accessed easily and without having to worry about disclosing information and this being used inappropriately or being released to other parties.
